| There are three ways you can show your support for DeSoto State
Park: 1. Become a part-time volunteer 2. Serve as a Campground Host 3. Work on a trail project |
| PART-TIME VOLUNTEER |
| Part-time volunteers work in one of our facilities. Some tasks may include: providing information and directions, taking campground reservations, answering the phone, collecting fees, nature interpretation, trail maintenance, or light housekeeping. |
| CAMP HOST |
| Volunteer Camp Hosts act as our Campground Ambassadors. Some duties include: campground occupancy checks, light maintenance, or providing information & directions. |
TRAIL MAINTENANCE |
Scheduled Around Your Time |
| DeSoto State Park has about 15 miles of trails. Year-round maintenance is necessary to keep the trails in good condition. Some projects may include: keeping trails marked, clearing new trails, repairing footbridges, erosion control, or brush trimming. |
