DeSoto State Park

Located in the Northeast corner of Alabama.

  You can take the following exits off of I-59 to get to the park

exits 218, 222, or 231.

From I 59 Northbound take Exit 218 off ramp, turn right on ALA 35 South.  Go to the 1st red-light and veer left. Go to next light and turn left on Gault Avenue.  Go through downtown Ft. Payne about a mile and turn right on ALA 35 next to Union Park.     Travel up the mountain, turn left at a flashing caution light on top of lookout mountain. Go 5 miles on CO. Rd. 89 and enter Desoto State Park.

            Park Lodge is the first right on Blalock Drive and the Country Store is about a quarter of a mile down Co. Rd. 89 on the left.
